Game Design Ethos

The base engines of my games are often born out of my love for mathematics. Any narrative expositions are secondary to the core elements of a good game - solid gameplay, appealing graphics, and excellent music. As a result, my games tend to be relatively old-school or experimental.

I have abandoned the nonsense argument of whether or not games can be art, and I simply focus on the real question - is this fun to play? If you look at games that provide a good "flow" state - Tetris, Sonic, Smash Bros, Katamari Damacy, etc - they are usually more mathematical innovations than anything else. So I simply try to make games that are mathematically beautiful, and hopefully also appealing to the average player.

While I am usually the sole programmer, I also enjoy the design, visual, music and audio aspects of game development. My games seek to find their "art" in the fourth dimension of interactivity and flow.
